The all electric Night Scan Chief, designed to fit atop ambulances, command trucks, sport utilities, law enforcement and fire vehicles, features the same world-renowned telescoping mast technology used in the larger Night Scan. Both systems mount externally on top of the vehicle, so no internal space is required. With an 8.38 in. (213mm) high travel position, the Night Scan Chief automatically stows in a low profile on your vehicle's roof.
The Night Scan Chief has full telescopic deployment in 15 seconds and elevates two light fixtures 6 feet (1.8m) above the roof, providing up to 3,000 watts of light. The system is available with AC quartz halogen lighting or 12/24 VDC lighting. The NS6-140DC and NS6-70DC models produce nearly the same lumen output of 2-500 watt/115 VAC quartz halogen lights, but require less than 1/4 the amperage draw. In addition, these models require no generator or inverter to be installed in the host vehicle, and draw only 16 amps directly from the vehicle's standard 12V power or 8 amps from the vehicle's standard 24V power.
